     This script is a simple text counter used to track visitors to your site. It creates one file and supplies the same count for each page and hence gives the actual visitors visiting the site and not the number of pages of the site visited. It is designed to count overall hits to a site, not to count hits to individual pages. It counts one user only once and not multiple times. One negative point of the script is that if multiple visitors access your site at once, and go through multiple pages at the same time, it may end up counting multiple hits between the users.
